API Release News from July 9, 2026

Here’s what’s new in API that’s been in production since July 9, 2026!

Breaking Changes:

Product update requests with ossVatLevels will be validated

• When the OSS_PAYER option is disabled for a shop, sending ossVatLevels in a product update request could previously trigger an internal server error instead of being safely ignored.
• Starting 23 July 2026, such requests will be properly validated instead of causing an error. If your integration sends ossVatLevels, only do so when OSS is enabled for the shop.

New Features:

Gift items now supported via the Order Items API

• The POST /order-items and PATCH /order-items/{id} endpoints now accept itemType: gift, allowing addons to create and update gift items on orders programmatically — matching the gift item behavior already available in the admin order editor. See the documentation.

New webhooks for product warranties

• Three new webhook events — warranties:create, warranties:update, and warranties:delete — are now emitted when a warranty is created, updated, or deleted in the administration, following the same pattern as existing CRUD webhooks for similar entities. See the documentation.

New SDK Version v0.4.7

• The official Shoptet API SDK has been updated to version 0.4.7 – see all changes here.

New features and improvements in progress, e.g.:

• Product webhooks — adding webhooks coverage for product-related events. This will be released in BETA version and announced via API release news.
• New GET endpoint for reviews settings configured in admin.
• New async endpoint for mass product image deletion.
