API Release news from January 09, 2025

Here’s what’s news in our first API Release 2025 that’s been in production since January 09!

New features:

Consumption taxes in API

• Consumption tax is an indirect tax applied in the Czech Republic to specific groups of products. The purpose of consumption taxes is mainly to regulate products whose consumption has negative social impacts (e.g. harming health or the environment).

• We have added this support not only to the administration but also to the API, where you will now find:

  • List of consumption taxes
  • For product endpoints and all its methods, you can now find the attribute data.variants[].consumptionTax or data.product.variants[].consumptionTax – may vary from the purpose of the endpoint
  • Order endpoints contain data.items.consumptionTaxId attribute for inserting whole orders or specific items or their modification
  • Invoices endpoint(s) now also contain data.items.consumptionTax

Please note: In the near future, we will also add the completion of a complete CRUD for managing the consumptionTaxId(s) themselves. We will announce the release of this feature separately.
