API Release News from July 24, 2026

Here’s what’s new in API that’s been in production since July 24, 2026!

Breaking changes:

Retry-After Header Will Be Corrected to UTC/GMT Time

• The Retry-After response header currently returns a local CET/CEST time value while labeled as GMT, causing clients to calculate an incorrect retry interval. This will be corrected so the header returns the time in UTC/GMT per the HTTP standard.
• Affected endpoint: any response including the Retry-After header (e.g. rate-limited responses)
• Effective date: 10.8.2026
• Action required: ensure your client parses the Retry-After HTTP-date value as UTC/GMT, not as local CET/CEST time

New Features:

Product Webhooks: Beta release

• All product webhook event types are now published in the Webhook Event Types section of the OpenAPI documentation. Product webhooks are marked with (*) as beta.

Reviews Settings Endpoint

• A new GET /api/reviews/settings endpoint returns the reviews configuration set in the admin. See the documentation.

Discussion Settings Endpoint

• A new GET /api/discussions/settings endpoint returns the discussion configuration for products, articles, and section articles. See the documentation.

Improvements:

Gallery Name in Product Images

• The product detail/snapshot endpoint response now includes a gallery field in each data.images[] object, so partners no longer need to extract the gallery name from the image URL. See the documentation.

HS Code (Customs Commodity Code) Support

• Ahead of the EU customs-clearance legislative change effective July 1, 2026, the Public API now returns the hsCode field on product read and accepts it on product create and update. When provided, the value must be a 6–10 digit numeric code; empty values remain allowed. See the documentation.
